How to prepare our delicious GrainPOP popcorn in its unique bag?

To enjoy perfectly cooked popcorn like in the movies, just stand next to your microwave, watch it cook, listen to the distinctive sound of popping corn and enjoy our recipes to your heart's content.

How long to cook your popcorn?  

Because each microwave offers different power and programs, you will first need to determine the right cooking time. From experience, we suggest you set your appliance to its maximum power and adjust the timer to 1.5 to 2.5 minutes for a 1000W microwave, and to 2 to 3 minutes for an 800W microwave.

Listen to the sounds of your GrainPOP popcorn

To best cook your GrainPOP popcorn, we recommend that you stand next to the microwave oven during the entire cooking process and listen for the popping of the corn kernels. When the popping slows down and stabilizes at around 1 or 2 seconds between popping sounds, you can take the bag out and open it carefully, being careful not to burn yourself.

A popcorn that can be eaten plain or flavored  

Once your popcorn is cooked, pour the contents of the bag into a bowl and enjoy your delicious GrainPOP popcorn. Our popcorn can be enjoyed plain, with a little vegetable oil or with a selection of sweet or savory flavors. To make your own homemade seasoning, carefully open the bag and proceed in 3 steps.

Step 1: Coat your popcorn with oil

To properly season your GrainPOP popcorn, you must first coat it with oil in the following manner:

  • Open your GrainPOP popcorn bag and pour in your fat;
  • close your bag by folding it;
  • Shake thepopcorn bag once;
  • open it again.

Step 2: Shake a second time

Once your popcorn is coated in oil, season it by following the steps below:

  • add the condiment and spices in the bag (sugar, salt, herbs, etc.);
  • close your bag by folding it;
  • Shake thepopcorn bag a second time to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
